Where your friends are

Facebook versus Myspace - it’s been covered like an epic battle between Godzilla and Mothra.
Class divide? Cliques?
I’d like to chime in and say it’s all about where my friends are. For me, there’s a divide all right. I’ve got friends on MySpace and I’ve got friends on Facebook. Ads be damned. Applications be damned. Cliques be damned. I go to the site where I can connect with the people I want to connect with when I want to connect with them. I don’t care what site it is.
I’ll argue that social networking is about people. And while the interface helps facilitate connections. It’s the connection that ultimately matters.

Beautiful facebook rant

Love the Facebook rant. Thanks for sharing. Here’s an addition I have more geared towards MySpace.
Myspace, you’ve allowed me to get spammed by most likely well-intentioned, but often lackluster talented DJs, bands, poets, you name it, who have abused the bulletin feature trying to get me to come out to their shows. Please, don’t post your Tuesday night 9:30pm slot 5 times in a day!
