I spent last weekend with a bunch of birders at the National Audubon Convention in Virginia.

I did a storytelling workshop with a bunch of front line workers who are helping stop unwanted teenage pregnancies as part of my work with the National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy.

I’m going to Uganda  next month with Population Services International  to visit field programs that help women get access to contraception.

My point? You’ve got to get out of your office. You have to get out from behind that computer and experience the things you market.

Go ahead. Block of a Friday afternoon and visit your programs. Talk to your beneficiaries. Take a field trip. It’s the best way to see your work with fresh eyes.
